The nature of work is changing. We operate in hyper competitive and complex contexts and our jobs are more specialised than ever. No longer can a few great thinkers in the organisation solve all the big picture problems. We need to find more productive ways to harness the talents and ideas of the many and the regular meeting just does not allow us the opportunity to dig deep enough into problems or explore wide enough for solutions.
The answer is collaborative workshopping. Taking 2 to 3 days out of the regular work schedule to focus a multi-stakeholder group on a problem with the aim of discovering solutions.
Here is a guide on how to use workshops to create sustainable positive outcomes. This is also a training offered in Asia.
